Useful Tips

  • If you are planning to visit Acropolis & the Parthenon , take a bottle of water with you ,especially during summer period. Avoid buying food & beverages from the kiosks near Acropolis.The prices are extremely high.
  • The best way to reach the New Acropolis Museum is by metro.Take the red line and step off at Acropolis station. 
  • Visit Cape Sounion & the Temmple of Poseidon  and stay there till sunset time.The view is unforgettable !!
  • Use metro lines & tram .You can easily reach all points of interest  & many sightseeings & museums without spending a lot of money in taxis.Although i should mention that for short trips , i recommend taxis.Metro tickets costs €1,40 and the minimum charge in taxis is €3,20.  Do your calculations and decide which is best.
  • The cable cab which take you up to Lykabettus hill costs €7,00.
